WWOOF Estonia

WWOOF Estonia was established in March 2007. It gives volunteers an opportunity to work in Estonian organic farms.

We are connected to international WWOOF network, which increases the possibility that volunteers arrive from all over the world.

The role of WWOOF Estonia is to initiate contact between volunteer (WWOOFer) and a farm (host). We administrate our homepage, register WWOOFers and hosts from Estonia, organize seminars for interested groups for becoming a host or WWOOfer. We increase the awareness about possibilities of WWOOFing and organic farming in Estonia and all around the world as well.

As we are very young organization, we need your help for spreading the word among potential WWOOFers and Hosts about WWOOfing possibilities in Estonia! Thank you for that!

Your proposals and feedback to our actions and homepage are more than crucial for us to make this movement to develop and become better!

Our first introducing seminar about WWOOF in Estonia was held in Saaremaa on the 8th of April.

The idea of starting WWOOF in Estonia was developed in environment student conference Winter Academy 2007 in February (www.talveakadeemia.ee).

There was group of young people who had energy and passion to start this movement in Estonia. Also thanks to Karen Allas (NGO Saare Mahe) we got encouraged to start a NGO and to build up a homepage for administrating WWOOF Estonia.

NGO WWOOF Estonia has 13 young active members from different fields of studies from all over Estonia: Geroli Peedu, Priit Pikk, Karin Kilk, Aita Mets, Mario Laul, Janne Jüsmä, Helen Maalinn, Ann, Muuga, Sirli Pehme, Varje Vendla, Merje Mölter, Tuuli Trikkand and Evelin Aavik.
